Hold on to your proton packs kids, because PAX East is next on the plate and it’s going to be an event to remember! You may be asking yourself “WTH is PAX?” or “Why PAX?” .The answer to either of those questions can be answered with one word; AWESOME. Looking for a little more definition? PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) is basically a one of a kind games convention that encompasses nearly every aspect of the games industry under one roof(s).Whether you’re a gamer, seasoned developer, blogger, or gaming competitor PAX has something for you. Seattle has always been the traditional stomping grounds for this unique convention. This year, the decision makers at Penny Arcade have decided to incorporate two PAX events, one in Seattle at the end of the summer, and now the aptly named PAX East, held in Boston at the end of March. Knowing a little more about PAX’s history, you can understand TRI’s excitement with having two of our staff invited to speak on panels at the Boston event. Joe Kreiner, our VP of sales and marketing for the awesome Infernal Engine ( he’s also known in some circles as the Infernal Engine Sith Lord) and Alexis Hebert (yours truly) TRI’s community manager, and practical joker extraordinaire will be the two attending. Joe and Alexis both will be speaking on Friday evening; Joe is featured on “The Future of PC Gaming”, and Alexis on “The Growing Roll of Women in the Games Industry”.
