Living in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex

More than Just Steers

Two major metropolitan cities are within arms’ reach. The Texas-sized twin cities of Dallas and Forth Worth combine to form the 4th largest metropolitan area in the United States; the 10th largest in the Americas. We lovingly refer to it as “The Metroplex,” or “DFW,” and each section of it is jam-packed with fine restaurants, museums, impressive shopping centers, and thriving nightlife. If you’re in the mood for something lower-key, Denton lurks just north of Terminal offices; it’s a quirky and eclectic little college town complete with enchanting dive bars and a thriving, diverse music scene.

For those prefer smaller towns and suburban landscapes to fancified city livin’, DFW is surrounded by some of the best places to live in the country–literally, according to CNN MONEY and Forbes.

If that wasn’t enough, living and working in the DFW area is very easy on the wallet! Dallas was ranked #1 by Forbes as the Best U.S. Cities to Earn a Living in 2009, Texas has no state income tax, and the cost of living is below national average:  that contributes to one happy savings account!

Still not convinced? Keep reading below to learn more about what the Dallas Fort Worth area has to offer.
