Terminal Reality, Inc.

Transportation in The Metroplex

Making it easier to get from Point A to Point B

Public transportation continues to improve in North Texas, with many light rail stations in and around Dallas, a train that connects downtown Dallas to downtown Fort Worth, robust bus systems, vintage style trolley systems, and much more. With recent expansions and future plans, Dallas Area Rapid Transit maintains the largest light rail network in North America, at 72 miles and growing. The world’s third busiest international airport, Dallas Ft. Worth International, is only minutes away from Terminal Reality, providing direct and inexpensive flights to and from just about anywhere. Easy access is just another reason why North Texas is one of the smartest places in the country to live and work.

DFW International Airport & Love Field

The Largest Airport in the State of Texas

With 2,300 daily flights to nearly 200 worldwide destinations, and a size larger than the island of Manhattan in New York City, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is the third busiest passenger airport in the world. It is considered one of the easiest to get in and out of, and continue to enhance passenger experiences with new terminals and a new rail transit system, Skylink. Picking up family visitors or jetting off for vacations is incredibly simple and convenient. Visit the airport at http://www.dfwairport.com/.

Dallas Love Field, the home of Southwest airlines, is located in Dallas proper, and serves the needs of the many residents that prefer shorter hops and friendly flight experiences.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART)

Constantly expanding light rail and bus and system in Dallas

DART is a regional transit agency created by voters in 1983. DART buses and rails now service 13 cities in Dallas County with more than 130 bus routes, 31 freeway miles of high-occupancy vehicle lanes, and 45 miles of light rail transit (DART rail). DART and the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (“the T”) share the Trinity Railway Express, linking downtown Dallas and Fort Worth. Through 2014, the DART Rail System is slated to more than double in size to 93 miles. The DART system makes it easy and convenient for newcomers and veterans alike to explore the aptly named “Big D”— without having to find good parking. Learn more at http://www.dart.org/.

Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA)

Serving the residents of Denton County

The newly formed Denton County Transportation Authority, created by the Texas Legislature in 2001, now includes Lewisville in its plans to build a rail system through Denton County and connect that system directly to Dallas, Fort Worth, and D/FW Airport. This major public transportation project makes it even easier for Terminal team members to get into, out of, and all the way around the entire Metroplex. Denton, the home of a thriving music and nightlife scene is made even more accessible by the DCTA. For details about the planned project, and to follow further legislation that will affect public transportation initiatives in this region, visit http://www.dcta.net/.

The T

Services provided by the Ft. Worth Transport Authority

The Fort Worth Transportation Authority is committed to helping keep the roads and the air clean in Tarrant County by offering bus and rail services (through the Trinity Railway Express) to residents. Be sure to take advantage of the “Free Zone” in downtown Fort Worth that allows you to travel from place to place–with no fees! Visit http://www.the-t.com/.

The Trinity Railway Express

Connecting Dallas and Ft. Worth with Light Rail

A joint operation of DART and The T, the Trinity Railway Express is the first commuter rail line constructed in the southwestern United States. The TRE connects downtown Dallas to downtown Fort Worth, but has many stations in-between, including a stop at Victory Station (at the American Airlines Center) during events. There are many “park and ride” stations that allow residents to experience the excitement of downtown without having to drive there. This makes it super-easy and fun to roll however you like between the big cities, sporting events, concerts, or just a night on the town.  Visit the TRE at http://www.trinityrailwayexpress.org/.

The A-Train

Connecting Denton to Dallas with Light Rail

DCTA has finished construction on a regional passenger rail line to serve Denton County residents and visitors. The rail line is approximately 21 miles long from Denton to Carrollton. Five stations are built on the A Train line located in Denton, Lewisville, and Carrollton. The rail line connects directly to the DART’s Green Line at Trinity Mills Station in Carrollton, allowing passengers on the A-train to transfer and travel to downtown Dallas and other transit points in the North Texas region. With the A Train, we have even more options for getting to and from working, playing, and living in the Metroplex. To learn more about the A Train, visit the A-Train website.
